Fresh fruit spread is one of the best ways to add sweetness without using sugar. I use it to replace syrup and cannot imagine using syrup again. This is a fresh fruit spread or jam, you decide.
Ingredients
♦ Chez Gordy Note: use whatever ingredients that you prefer, I recommend using any combination of fresh fruits and / or vegetables that you want.
- 1 cup seedless grapes
- ½ cup blackberries
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ cup strawberries
- ½ cup raspberries
- 2 small or medium ripe bananas
- 2 medium pears
- 4 small carrots
- 2 teaspoons Xylitol (optional depends on you taste buds)
Directions
♦ Chez Gordy Note: Do not worry about cutting anything to a certain size, the grapes and berries can stay whole, we are going to put everything in a blender. You decide if you want to peel the pears and carrots, I prefer using them without peeling.
Preparation
- Remove stems from grapes and berries
- Peel and slice bananas
- Wash carrots and pears (I recommend scrubbing them with a brush under cold water; be sure to cut the pears in half and remove the core)
When using a counter-top blender
Put all items in the blender and blend on the highest setting.
When using a hand blender
Put all items in a large bowl or jar and use the hand blender to combine them.
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Total time: 20 minutes
Servings: varies (depending on usage)
